A combination of pink tones, yellows and earthy colours make up this design and the reverse is shades of blues and greens.
Re-igniting her passion for being connected to culture and country while learning more about her mob; Steph explored the powerful way in which her ancestors used art in story telling to tell her own story, hence this aptly named design, 'Coming Home'.
This throw design started as a creative cultural expression which Steph painted on canvas, laying on the floor of her home over many weeks. The story of her family back in her home town in Kalkadoon Country ('Emu Foot Province' - hence the emu's feet present in the design), her husbands family in a separate town and their journey over mountains to come together and create their own little mob of five. Steph's great-grandmother, the strong Indigenous matriarch of her family, is represented with one star and the loving father of her husband, Chris' dad, represented with the second star.
